Network outage on CHI@UC Skylake nodes

We are experiencing a networking outage impacting Skylake nodes on CHI@UC. Deployment of new instances and connectivity to existing ones may fail. We are investigating this issue and will provide an update as soon as possible. Haswell nodes on CHI@UC can still be used successfully.

We need to extend today's power outage at UC into tomorrow. Estimated time is noon CST October 23.

We will be performing scheduled power maintenance on the CHI@UC site on October 22 starting at 12:00 UTC. This maintenance period is expected to last 24 hours. During this time all systems will be down. This means it will not be possible to create leases, update existing leases, launch instances, or connect to already-launched instances. The CHI@UC GUI will also be down at this time.

Update: Maintenance is completed.

Update: Due to weather concerns, we are postponing the date of maintenance to the following Sunday, September 23, 2018.

Access to all TACC systems will be unavailable from 8:00 AM CDT until 4:00 PM CDT on September 16, 2018 to allow for upgrades to the TACC core network hardware. Jobs will continue to run, but users will have no access to TACC services and systems until the upgrade is complete.

We will perform an upgrade of the Chameleon reservation service (Blazar) on CHI@TACC on September 3, 2018 between the hours of 4 AM and 8 AM Central Time. During this period, you may at times not be able to create or manage leases, but all other operations will still work: you will be able to launch new instances and access existing ones.

On Wednesday June 20, between 6 AM and 6:30 AM Central Time, a network maintenance will impact external connectivity of UC stitchable networks. This will only impact you if you are using the External Testbed Stitching feature on CHI@UC. The actual outage should be only 5 minutes, but the entire 30 minutes window is reserved.

KVM cloud unavailable
