This summer, we are excited to announce a return of the “Summer with Chameleon” program featuring tutorials on the most essential aspects of using the Chameleon testbed, from account creation to launching an instance on a bare metal node and much more. The tutorials will occur on June 11th and June 13th in webinar format. We will record them and post online after the live event. If you are completely new to Chameleon or need a general refresh, you may find all the tutorials helpful, but feel free to attend only those that interest you. Each of the webinars below has a registration link -- please, register early: if they prove to be popular we may schedule additional sessions.

Tuesday, June 11th

• 1 PM CT Introduction to Chameleon: A fresh take on our basic Chameleon introduction webinar: all the things you need to know to get started, guides users through creating their first instance, and how to get help and become part of the community.
• 3 PM CT Experiment Templates & Orchestration on Chameleon: Dive into the templates, interfaces, and tools that Chameleon offers to help you design and execute your experiments on our hardware. We’ll discuss our python-chi library for programmatic testbed orchestration as well as our CLI and how to use both for leases, setting up environments, launching instances, and more.

Thursday, June 13th

• 1 PM CT CHI@Edge: Introduces the CHI@Edge capability, including an overview of Chameleon edge resources and how to access them, adding and sharing your own edge resources, and a walkthrough of using Jupyter in various ways to serve as the launching point for edge to cloud experiments.
• 3PM CT Open Office Hours: Come by our virtual office to chat with our engineers about the testbed features, get help with specific questions or issues, and learn the best practices from those who operate the testbed. (Please note, this is meant to be for students and other attending the tutorials to learn about Chameleon. This is not an alternative for our Help Desk ticketing system.)
