We are happy to announce the first release of the Chameleon user portal!
At this time, the portal will be available to FutureGrid users only; users will be able to convert their FutureGrid projects and accounts to Chameleon projects and accounts.
The former FutureGrid Hotel resource will continue to be available in its current configuration until December 15th. During this transition period, users will be able to continue using Hotel with their FutureGrid account until they create their Chameleon account, so that you can migrate between the two projects at your leisure.
During this two week period, the reconfigured Alamo resource will come online initiating our FutureGrid@Chameleon offering: FutureGrid machines, configured as they were in FutureGrid, operated for our Chameleon users. Alamo will be accessible via Chameleon accounts only so make sure to convert your FutureGrid account ASAP and plan to use Alamo when Hotel is down.
After December 15th, Hotel will be taken down for reconfiguration and will reemerge as a FutureGrid@Chameleon resource before the end of the year.
And we find that the week after Thanksgiving we still have something to be thankful for: thank you for your patience!
