NFSv3

This courselet provides a hands-on walkthrough of key features in NFSv3 (Network File System version 3). Learners will start by setting up an NFS server and exporting directories, then proceed to manually mount and access those directories from a client. The courselet highlights important NFSv3 characteristics, including the need to mount each export individually due to the absence of a pseudo-filesystem, and the protocol’s stateless design that allows clients to retain access even after server reboots. By the end, learners will gain practical experience with configuring and validating NFSv3-based file sharing in a distributed environment.
